Tim Jones

Tim Jones, age 62, of Sheldon, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center in Sheldon. Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home Sheldon Funeral Service in Sheldon. Mr. Gene Bomgaars officiating. Burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon. Visitation will be Friday, December 21, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home Sheldon Funeral Service in Sheldon. All memorials will be given to the Humane Society, 607 28th Street, Milford, Iowa 51351 Timothy Lee Jones was born on May 21, 1956 in Sheldon, Iowa. He was the son of Wayne and Leah (Helms) Jones. He lived his youth in Sheldon where he attended school and enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. He graduated from Sheldon Community High School. Tim attended Iowa Lakes Community College for two years, receiving a degree in Horticulture. Tim worked for TJ's in Sheldon after college and then purchased the Fin and Feather Bar and Restaurant in Sheldon which he owned and operated for many years. He was a special driver for Van Wyk's Trucking and drove for Rides and the Sheldon Community Schools. Tim was an avid golfer, played on the golf league and was a member of the Sheldon Country Club. He enjoyed collecting cars and was a Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast. Tim was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and Atlantic Braves. His pets were very dear to him and he took special care of them. Tim passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center. Those left to cherish his memory are two brothers and sister-in-law, Dr. Allen S. and Norma Jones and Curtis W. Jones; two nieces, Starr (Justin) Montgomery and their children, Drew, Tyler, Jackson, Jett, Tralee and Dilyn; Mackenzie (Alex) Reberg and family; and one uncle, Dale Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Leah Jones.
