SHELDON, Iowa -- Robert H. Bivens Jr., 36, of Sheldon passed away Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, in Sheldon.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. today, with a prayer service, at Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.
Bob was born April 1, 1972 in Portland, Ore. He was raised in Oregon and Washington and moved to Iowa in 2001. He worked for Sioux Preme Pork in Sioux Center, Iowa.
He loved to hang out in the garage, working on his vehicles and spending quality time with his children.
Survivors include two daughters, Samantha Bivens of George, Iowa, and Makayla Bivens of Hawarden, Iowa; a son, Cody Bivens of Hawarden; his girlfriend, Kim Tomlinson and her son, Derek Tomlinson of Sheldon; his father and stepmother, Robert Sr. and Sandra Bivens of Vancouver, Wash.; a sister, Cheri Bivens of Vancouver; three nieces; and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and his grandparents.
