Reitzell John Wright the son of Reitzell and Norine (Shea) Wright was born October 13, 1959 in Sheldon, Iowa. He grew up on a farm east of Sanborn, Iowa and graduated from Sanborn High School. On August 9, 1980, he was united in marriage to Patricia “Pat” Proehl in Primghar, Iowa. He was currently employed by the City of Primghar a position he has held for the past twelve years. He passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at his home in Primghar reaching the age of 51 years, 7 months and 1 day.
During his free time Reitzell was an avid outdoorsman; fishing and hunting with his family members and friends. He also enjoyed gardening. He liked the farming life as well as working for the City of Primghar, being outdoors and spending time with his co-workers.
Reitzell leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Pat of Primghar; two sons, Michael and his wife, Anne Wright of Paullina, and Dustin Wright of Madison, Wisconsin; one daughter, Ashley Wright of Primghar and her fiancée, Jeremy Gloden of Hospers; grandchildren, Tristyn Anne Marie Wright, and Cody, Cole and Craig Ginger; three brothers and their wives, Eugene and Diane Wright of Wayzata, Minnesota; Wray and Rachel Wright of Sioux City, Iowa and Joel and Kathy Wright of Sanborn, Iowa; his mother-in-law, Ruth Proehl of Primghar and a sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Denny Thoms of Mason City, Iowa; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
“But they that wait upon the Lord,
Shall renew their strength.
They shall soar on wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary
They shall walk and not be faint.”
Isaiah 40: 31
