MARNY O. CLICK
Marny Orlene Tesch Click was born on a farm near Calumet, Iowa on March 8, 1935 to Ira and Alma (Hurtig) Tesch. Her family later moved to a farm southwest of Paullina where she grew up. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion United Church of Christ in Calumet and graduated from Paullina High School in May of 1953. On August 30, 1953, she was united in marriage to William Henry Click of Gaza, Iowa. They lived in Gaza and Paullina until 1960 when they moved to a farm west of Paullina. They remained on the farm until they moved back to town in February of 1981.
Marny worked at K Products for 24 years until she retired in 1999. After retiring, she enjoyed baking, gardening, dancing, the Green Bay Packers and attending her grandchildrens activities. She was also very active in Ladies Aid in the Gaza Church, Womens Fellowship at Zion United Church of Christ and the American Legion Auxiliary. Marny passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota reaching the age of 81 years, 8 months and 23 days.
Her children and grandchildren were fanatics about her homemade hot fudge sauce and scotch-a-roos. Her children all have fond memories of the Tesch sisters harvest gathering where they would can sweet corn, freeze cherries and dress chickens. Marny was loved by many and will be missed by all of her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory, her husband, Bill Click of Paullina; children, Dana (Marlene) Click of Sutherland, Darla (Dave) Moos of Cedar Park, Texas, Rob Click of Early, Iowa, Cheryl (Dan) Breitbarth of Ogden, Iowa, Dawn (Lonnie) Craig of Granville, Iowa, Darin (Jeanna) Click of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; 16 grandchildren, Angie (Trent) Mozak, Grant Click, Keith and Valerie Moos, Jonah (April) Click, Matthew and Sean Click, Eric Breitbarth, Aaron (Emily) Breitbarth, Amber Breitbarth, Clint (Brooke), Cody (Heather), Cole Craig, Logan, Brady and Bryce Click; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Jean (Dick) Edwards of Paullina, sister-in-law, Dar Tesch of Paullina, brothers-in-law, Merle Kuehl of Granville, Iowa and John (Doris) Click of Lima, Ohio.
Marny was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Gerda Kuehl, Karen (Jack) Cooper and Iris (Jack) Hunnel; brother, Pete Tesch; brother and sisters-in-law, Jim Koch, Blaine (Donaline) Click and Eleanor (Roger) Irvine.
