LYNETTE “LYNN” GRABENBAUER

Lynette "Lynn" Leone Grabenbauer the daughter of Raemond and Irene (Shaffer) Ash, was born March 30, 1945 in Charles City, Iowa. She received her education and graduated from Traer-Clutier High School. She furthered her education in X-Ray Technology at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. On December 28, 1966 she was united in marriage to Woody Grabenbauer in New London, Connecticut where he was stationed in the Navy. After their marriage the couple began married life in Connecticut, later moving back to Iowa and living in Marshalltown and Ames. The couple remained in the Midwest and moved to Sheldon in 2001. Lynn worked as a X-Ray Technologist and later in banking. While in Sheldon she worked at Farm Bureau Financial Services until her health forced her retirement. She passed away on Sunday October 18, 2009 at the Sanford Sheldon Health Center reaching the age of 64 years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Sheldon and P.E.O. She enjoyed playing the piano, reading, singing and riding the motorcycle with her husband.
Lynn is survived by her husband Woody of Sheldon, two sons and their wives Cory and Kellie Grabenbauer of North Liberty, Iowa and Bryon and Jill Grabenbauer of Copperas Cove, Texas; four grandchildren Ilsa, Ayla, Elias and Emily and one sister Kay McBeth of Prescott Valley, Arizona; also other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
