LLOYD A. HEITHUS

Lloyd Allen Heithus, the son of Adolf and Berdina (Richter) Heithus was born January 4, 1939 in Germantown, Iowa. He received his education at St. John Lutheran School and later graduated from Paullina High School in 1958. While in high school Lloyd was employed at Lenz Manufacturing in Paullina. On February 16, 1958 he was united in marriage to Glenda Cline in Cherokee, Iowa. The couple’s married years were spent in Cherokee and for the last years in the Paullina area. Lloyd was employed by Walnut Grove Feeds; for 32 years he sold AAL Insurance, owned and operated Lloyd’s of Germantown and for six years managed the Paullina Golf Course. The last few years the couple had made their home in Paullina. He passed away on Sunday July 8, 2012 at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City reaching the age of 73 years 6 months and 4 days.
He was baptized on January 22, 1939 and later confirmed on May 3, 1953 at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown where he was currently a member. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards, camping and socializing with his many friends.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Glenda of Paullina; six children Tammera Kruse of Germantown, Iowa; Lloyd Jr.(Butch) and his wife Gloria Heithus in Florida, Malinda Thompson of Paullina, Jeffrey and his wife Brenda Heithus of Sioux Center, David and his wife Lisa Heithus of Charleston, South Carolina and Brian and his wife Nancie Heithus of Milford, Iowa also fourteen grandchildren, four step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren, three sisters Bernadine Bruns of Paullina, Rosella and husband Henry Scott of Norfolk, Nebraska, Caroline Gomez of Sioux City and one brother Loren and his wife Linda Heithus of Harden, Kentucky also other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Marissa Heithus and his parents.
