LILLIAN MESNER
Lillian Mesner, the daughter of John and Clara (Peters) Gerdes was born December 30, 1922 on a farm near Akron, Iowa. She received her education in country schools. On December 27, 1953 she was united in marriage to Leroy Mesner at the St. John Lutheran Church in LeMars, Iowa. After their marriage the couple settled in LeMars and later moved to a farm east of Primghar, Iowa. The couple retired and moved to Primghar. The couple entered the Primghar Care Center in October of 2004. Her husband preceded her in death on May 25, 2005 in Primghar. Lillian had made her home at the care center for the last several years and passed away there on Saturday, February 23, 2013 reaching the age of 90 years, 1 month and 23 days.
She was baptized on March 9, 1923 and later confirmed into the Lutheran faith. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. She enjoyed dancing and playing Bingo.
Lillian is survived by a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law, LuEtta and Les Dau of Paullina; also other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
