ELROY “JIM” J. KOEHLMOOS
Elroy “Jim” James Koehlmoos, son of Elroy and Mildred (Hibbing) Koehlmoos, was born July 8, 1947, in Primghar, Iowa. He attended school in Paullina and graduated from Paullina High School in 1965. After graduating from high school he worked for Wilson Foods in Cherokee, Iowa until 1971. He then farmed south of Primghar until he was injured in an accident in 1989. Jim moved into the Paullina Care Center in 2006 and later moved to the Sutherland Care Center. Jim passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the care center, reaching the age of 63 years, 2 month and 15 days.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina.
Jim is survived by his sister and her husband, Linda and Steve Revell of Clive, Iowa; his step-mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Einerwold of Sutherland, Iowa; and a niece, Sara and her husband, David Zelinskas of Gig Harbor, Washington; also other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
