DONALD A. SCHWARZ

Donald Adrian Schwarz, the son of Martin Francis and Delores Irene (Breuer) Schwarz was born September 25, 1946 on the family farm near Ashton, Iowa. He received his education at St. Joseph Catholic School, Ashton Public school and later Sheldon Public School. In his younger years, he farmed the family farm, and later worked at Graves Construction, AGP in Sheldon, Chase Lumber in Sheldon and drove a beer truck. On August 6, 1966, he was united in marriage to Darlene Diane Gloden at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Sheldon. The couple were married for 25 years and later divorced. Donald was employed in union construction for PCL in Minneapolis for more than 30 years, retiring in 2007 at the age of 61. He later returned to the Ashton area. He passed away at his home in Ashton after just celebrating his 69th birthday.
Donald was a hardworking man putting everyone else before himself. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his sons, hunting and enjoyed being a jokester by kidding everyone.
Left to cherish his memory are his four children, David and his wife, Dawn Schwarz of Worthington, Minnesota.; Dennis Schwarz and girlfriend, Lisa Fisher of Ashton, Iowa; Deann and her husband, Jason Rutzen of Sheldon, Iowa and Donald Schwarz and girlfriend, Dana Baldwin of Hastings, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Kayla and husband, Brandon Jensen of Larchwood, Iowa; Justin Schwarz and girlfriend, Brandi Markus of Worthington, Minnesota; Megan Schwarz of Ashton, Iowa; Shawn Rutzen of Sheldon, Iowa and Axel Schwarz of Hastings, Minnesota; a great granddaughter, Aubryn Jensen; two sisters, Beverly Rozeboom of Sheldon, Iowa and Geraldine (James) Konz of Hospers, Iowa; a brother, Herman (Dorothy) Schwarz of Sheldon, Iowa; also other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters, Phyllis, Norma and Joyce.
