BARBARA ANNE FOSTER

Barbara Anne (Thomas) Foster was born October 8, 1933 in Lamoni, Iowa. She was the daughter of Hobart and Ester Thomas. A Memorial Service will be held August 6, 2011 at 6:30 P.M. at the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home in Primghar, Iowa.
Barbara attended school in Maryville, Missouri and graduated from Maryville High School. Barbara married Byron Foster on November 24, 1951. With Byron being a teacher they lived in several southern and central towns in Iowa, finally settling down in Primghar in 1979. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was a good friend and neighbor. She enjoyed family gatherings and holidays. She collected angels as she had a very large collection; also, she enjoyed the company of her cats.
Survivors include her husband, Byron of Primghar; four children, Mike and his wife, Annette and their children, Chris, Brian, and Heather of Papillion, Nebraska; Rick and his wife, Karen and their children, Tim and Rachel of Glenwood, Iowa; Patrick of Phoenix, Arizona; Mark and his wife, Lisa of Newton, Iowa; one sister, Deane Couch and her husband, Dave of Bonner Springs, Kansas; a special friend, Kevin Brown; also relatives and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Hobart and Ester Thomas and one sister, Donna Thomas.
