ARNOLD DWAINE WILDEMAN

Arnold Dwaine Wildeman, the son of Peter and Jacoba (Tammes) Wildeman was born on February 8, 1935 in rural OBrien County, Iowa. He received his education in the Sheldon Public School System. Arnie began working at an early age. He was united in marriage to Greta Noordhoek on August 17, 1953 in Sheldon, Iowa, where the young couple made their home. Arnie worked as a truck driver for AGP and was honored having driven for 39 years accident free. Arnie passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Sanford Sheldon Medical Center in Sheldon, Iowa, reaching the age of 82 years, 2 months and 21 days.
Arnie was a life-long member of the First Reformed Church in Sheldon, Iowa. In his earlier years, he enjoyed camping and was an avid hunter, bowler and fisherman.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Greta of Sheldon; and their 6 children, Debi (Randy) Byers of Fayetteville, AR; Dennis (Laurie) Wildeman of Des Moines, IA; Kathyrn (Brian) Koele of Wilton, IA; Mark (Donna) Wildeman of Emmetsburg, IA; Ruth (Mark) Wolterstorff of Ocheydan, IA; Randy Wildeman of Valley Springs, SD; 12 grandchildren and a granddaughter to be born in July; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters and a brother, Wilma Niichel of Sheldon, IA; Sherry (Hank) Moller of Rushville, NE; Joe (Wanda) Wildeman and Becky (Mark) Klemme all of Sheldon; brother-in-law, Francis Pulscher of Sheldon; sister-in-law, Jolene Wildeman of Hartley, IA; also other relatives and friends.
Arnie was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard; his parents, 2 brothers, Peter Jr. and Terry Wildeman; a sister, Marilyn Pulscher and a brother-in-law, Joe Niichel.
My Fishing Prayer
I pray that I may live
to fish until my dying day.
And when it comes to
my last cast,
I then most humbly pray.
When in the Lords
great landing net and
peacefully asleep,
That in His mercy
I be judged
big enough to keep.
